2014 saw the 14th anniversary of DaRo Products Ltd, and sees another year in which the success of the company tells its own story with organic growth and expansion.
Originally the manufacturing arm of UV Systems plc, DaRo Products was came about as as a result of a management buy-out and we moved to a purpose-built factory in Sudbury on the Essex and Suffolk borders.
By striving to continually to produce high quality sheet metal fabrication solutions and by developing the one-stop shop philosophy whereby, Mig and Tig welding, vacuum forming, powder coating and even final product assembly are offered as everyday services; the company has expanded from an original 6000 square foot site to over 25,000 square feet.
Clearly, one fundamental part of our work ethos is very simple – by continuing to ensure that customer satisfaction is a priority, and by remaining totally committed to our continuous improvement programme; our organic business growth has followed.
Expansion is not limited to floor space and as well as obtaining and maintaining full ISO 9001 status, DaRo has also continued to invest in team training and education and by investment into state-of-the-art technology, in order to maintain an ambitious continuous improvement programme.
Sudbury-based DaRo Products continues to develop enviable customer service reputation by providing all-encompassing solutions to current and future customers.
As DaRo Product’s Managing Director Damon Goodyear explained, “We have a genuine philosophy of working with our customers to find ways of offering the best service and solutions”.
It seemed to DaRo that the successful “partnership” ethos worked extremely well and should not necessarily stop at the point of delivery of the manufactured items.
As Damon continued; “We would package and deliver the product, at this point they may then have to be unpacked, labelled and repacked into the customers own packaging. The products might then need to go into storage, and await despatch paperwork, and then shipped out again. If DaRo offer a truly One-Stop shop, then why couldn’t we offer these services as well; and reduce the level of multiple handling? In some areas we were manufacturing plastic or sheet metal electronic housings which would be shipped back to the customer to then have the electronics installed, and yet we had the skills and ability already within the company to perform these functions when required”.
As DaRo prides itself in offering complete solutions, plans were immediately put into place in order to offer the fullest range of service inclusive of additional warehousing facilities.
With the latest addition of full design services (see Design Centre page), DaRo customers can reap other benefits, inclusive of:-
DaRo customers may now enjoy the fullest benefits of a truly One-Stop shop facility
