Plant List
The following is a brief guide to the plant and machinery utilised in the various processes undertaken within DaRo Products Ltd.
As DaRo Products operating from our Suffolk / Essex borders base offer a complete solution, the plant list below covers all aspects of the process from the latest product design and prototype service through manufacturing, fabrication, welding, finishing and product assembly through to inspection, and vacuum forming operations.
The plant list below is by no means definitive but is designed to offer a taste of our one-stop facilities and demonstrate the various areas of our service capabilities.
Sheet metal plant
Guillotine: Edwards Pearson 3m x 6.5mm CNC
CNC Punch: Rainer 3015, High speed linear drive, 3m x 1.5m, High efficiency electric
This is our third Rainer machine and incorporates:
- 30 Ton Electric Water Cooled Ram (30 ton punching capacity)
- 3000 x 1500 Before reposition with Linear Drive, 260 M / Min (will take 3000 x 1500 sheets)
- Twin Y Axis drive, making it probably the world’s fastest punch press centre (it assures maximum accuracy in all the work ranges, in any working condition and at the maximum speed without reducing the productivity of the machine).
Press Brakes: including Safan E Brake 2.5m x 80 ton 7 axis. High speed and efficiency
The first servo-electronic press-brake in the world, incorporating a revolutionary feature being its servo-electronic drive system based on the pulley principle, which ensures a very even distribution of forces. This was also selected because of its robust construction - with independently mounted measuring frame for optimum accuracy - and its fast and accurate back-gauge systems.
Fastener insert presses:
including PEM series 2000 auto feed, for volume production, PEM series 4 for fast set up for small production runs.
Welding and Fabrication

TIG welding:
Stainless steel and aluminium
Virtek QC laser parts inspection, fast accurate laser measuring and DXF creation. The system provides a unique method of rapidly inspecting 2D parts and reverse engineering
The Virtek QC laser parts inspection system provide us with the ability to quickly and accurately scan and or produce 1st Article Inspection on any flat part during the initial phases of manufacturing and can generate cad drawings in seconds.
Powder coating plant
On line Powder coating: Gema powder coating, fully conveyorised, on-line booths and oven for volume production
The paint line consists of 45m of conveyor track running through an online cartridge filter spray booth into a 14m multi pass curing oven.
Off line powder coating, quick change for small production runs
Pre-treatment
Vixen phosphate plant, hot wash and phosphate and hot passivation
The inclusion of the Vixen plant further boosted our pre-treatment processes of ferrous and non-ferrous materials prior to powder coating which results in even higher finish standards. It will also reduce and can even eliminate etch prime processes, provides excellent paint adhesion and allows the fast and flexible
processing of metals.
