DaRo offers high speed, high accuracy vacuum forming manufacturing. We offer a tailored, bespoke service, and specialise in batch production, repeat batch work and can also cater for one-offs and prototyping. We manufacture a diverse range of products for a wide range of applications, including machinery covers, point-of-sale displays, enclosures, light fittings and medical equipment.
Plastic Vacuum Forming Capabilities
1.5 – 10mm thick sheets
1965mm x 1165mm
Typical batch production 50-1000 units
0.1 – 1.5mm roll fed machines
845 x 608mm on thin/packaging
Typical batch production 500–5000 units
We produce high quality, cost-effective plastic components and plastic parts, all of which fully comply with our ISO 9001 standards. Where our customers require we produce and supply products in line with JIT and KANBAN production processes too.
All vacuum formed products are finished to the highest standards, utilising computer controlled technology complimented by the full range of routers, drilling and punching equipment to ensure accurate, high quality and fast drilling, trimming and finishing.
Vacuum forming tooling design and manufacture
In-house tool design and manufacture capabilities, with Solid Works 3D CAD tool design software linked to a 5-axis CNC router, are ideal for both prototyping and production tooling. Undertaking these works ourselves gives a much greater degree of control over quality control and lead times, as well as keeping costs lower too.
To compliment our manufacturing activities we offer a complete product design service, as well as providing advice on material selection too. Our in-house design team can also assist with design changes or re-designs, and are always on-hand to provide advice and assistance.
Prototyping and small batch productions
We can provide a fast and cost-effective prototyping service, ideal for trials, testing and communicating design intent.
When it comes to machined components or finished goods requiring safe transit and part segregation, we have a selection of transit trays where tooling costs have already been covered, thus providing our customers a cost effective solution to their problem – Off the shelf products available
Depending on the application and structural properties required we can manufacture in a wide range of materials, including ABS, HIPS, PVC, HDPE, PETG, PVDF and more. We can also process specialist moulding materials such as chemical resistant, flame retardant, antibacterial and high strength plastics.
Where required we use RoHS-compliance fully certificated virgin materials. All products can be obtained in a vast array of RAL and BS colours.
We endeavour to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and will use recycled materials and minimise waste, which has the added benefit of keeping costs low too.
We recycle our own waste material, which is granulated and re-extruded to create high quality (but non-certificated) plastics for vacuum forming, resulting in a zero waste manufacturing process
